Great Vic Bike Ride

Hi Students and Families,

Beaumaris SC will be participating in this year's Great Victorian Bike Ride.

Compulsory training rides will be held in several weekends leading up to the event to ensure students are fit and capable of completing the 310km ride.

The key details are as follows:

When: Saturday 26 - Wednesday 30 November

Where: Students will be taken from Beaumaris Secondary College on a bus to Apollo Bay where they will set up for the night. They will then ride 310km over 4 days, arriving in Koroit where they will get a bus back home to Southern Cross Station where they will need to be picked up by carers on Wednesday evening.

Cost: A rough estimate which will vary depending on the numbers involved is currently $905 (broken down as $160 for transport to and from the event, $80 for staffing costs, and $665 for the event ticket).

What do I need?: Any bike that has been recently serviced with gears that can get you up hills. A tent (students can arrange to share) and sleeping gear including a small camping mat. A full list of items will be given to attendees.
