Library News
It was lovely to see students join us for some Book Week activities in our library to celebrate Book Week.
Students were seen perusing the New Books section of the library with all books pictured here ready to borrow. Please remember students need to bring their Compass/Library card to the library to borrow books.
Students had fun participating in the Lunchtime Book Covering Club. All students are welcome to join us in the library and watch a demonstration full of tips and tricks on how to cover books for our library. Students will leave with the skills to become a library helper throughout the year - simply fill in the sign-up sheet at the library door. Plenty of new books are due to arrive at the library shortly and will need to be covered, so join us at lunchtime and give it a go!
And while in the library students are welcome to pop a coloured post-it note on our Post-it Note Reading Board and share with other students the title/author of the books you love to read.
Happy Reading!
Premiers Reading Challenge
Congratulations to all our students who have taken part in the reading challenge which closes on Friday (2 September). All students who meet the Challenge will receive a certificate of achievement signed by the Victorian Premier and former Premiers and go into a draw to win prizes. To read the Premier’s letter to parents, view the booklist and for more information, visit www.education.vic.gov.au/prc.
