A Message from the Principal

Dear Parents and Carers,

The Wizard of Oz

Thank you to our families for your support of our school play the Wizard of Oz. It was a memorable experience for the students as they obviously enjoyed performing for you! I have had a number of students tell me they now want to be actors when they grow up. The many rehearsals also taught the students the value of hard work; whether it was learning lines or remembering dance steps…Hard work pays off.

Our play required lots of planning and team work. Thank you to:

• The Catholic Schools Office, for the financial support which allowed us to put on this show and in particular Mrs Heidi Hardaker, for helping with the grant application;
• The sound and lighting crew, led by Glenn Mc Coy; 
• Sally Alden for taking such beautiful photos;
• Tracey Mc Farlane from the Liverpool Plains Shire Council for helping with the venue;
• Kate Thompson for her expertise and patience in producing invitations and programs;
• The behind the scenes staff and students for getting the props on stage and in the right scenes!
• Our wonderful PT & F, led by Clare Lee for making the delicious snack boxes for our guests; 
• Wendy Rheinberger for preparing snack boxes for the staff and students.
• Rebecca Hofman for the countless hours she put into choreography, props and general organisation. 
• Amanda Bartholomew for organising the incredible costumes. The students looked spectacular!
