Afternoon Pick Up - Crown Street
A reminder that students who are being collected from school in the afternoon are to wait inside the school gate for their parent/carer. Students are not permitted to walk to parked cars for obvious safety reasons. Parents/carers may wait in the Church grounds and, when sighted by the teachers on duty, students may walk to their parent/carer.
New Sport Shorts
Our new sport shorts are in stock and available to purchase from Lowes in Peel Street.
Compass
If parents need to alert the school to home arrangements for their child or any change to their daily routine please contact the office in the first instance as teachers do not always have time to check their emails during the school day.
If your child has an appointment and will be arriving at school late please do not enter this on Compass. Only enter absent notes if your child will be absent for the day or longer.
Canteen - Volunteers Needed
The canteen is once again open this term on Thursdays and Fridays. Please be sure to place your order by 9am the day the order is required. The canteen also requires volunteers to help Mrs Lobban for a couple of hours. If you have some free time please contact the office to express your interest.
Pupil Free Day
This term our Pupil Free Day for Staff Professional Development will be the last day of term, Friday 23 September.

Regulation School Bags
The St Joseph's school bag is part of our uniform and we ask that students, particularly those in Kinder , Year 1 and Year 2, continue to use their navy regulation school bag. Please keep non-regulation school bags for weekend or mufti day use only.
Book Week Parade & Grandparents Day
Grandparents are invited to join us on Thursday 25 August to watch the Book Week Character Parade commencing at 10:30am and stay and have morning tea with their grandchild/ren out on the lawn. Coffee and tea will be available for grandparents. Please see the invitation below and RSVP to Sarah by 22nd August. More information regarding the Book Week Parade can be found in the Library News section of this newsletter.
Father's Day Breakfast
Our Father's Day Breakfast will be held later this term on Friday 2nd September at 8am. This event is for all dads, grandads and special friends and your children. Please RSVP to the office on 6765 4079 or email schaffey@arm.catholic.edu.au for catering purposes. If there are any dads who would like to help out at the BBQ please contact the office. We are also asking if any families have any eggs they would be able to donate for the BBQ breakfast it would be greatly appreciated. Donations can be left at the office.
Father's Day Stall
Students will have the opportunity to purchase a special gift for dad through the P&F stall. The stall will be open on Friday 2 September. This year the P&F have a 2 gift maximum purchase per student. Gifts can be ordered and paid for on Qkr. All gifts will be $7.00 each.
