A Short Message from Dr Jake

Dear Parents & Friends,

We Are A Top Ten School World Wide for Overcoming Adversity

This Prize recognises that, while living in an increasingly uncertain world, schools must support and develop children in the kinds of socio-emotional skills that can support their personal growth and the school as a community. Adversity will come in many forms for schools, whether it's social issues, natural phenomena, economic constraints, pandemics, and many more. The dynamics, situations, and contexts are truly limitless. School leadership develops all stakeholders to deliver empowered decision-making which will energise their people to be problem-solvers and take ownership while facing adversity in their context. The development of resilience for the school and all its stakeholders matters because many succeed in spite of all the challenges and obstacles they face. This category therefore assesses how the school builds the character strengths, both individually and as a community, in order to support the greater resilience of all students.

We have a chance to share our story on the world stage. During World Education Week our school will be the first to conduct a free online workshop showcasing how St Edward's nurtures student learning. I encourage you to not only register, but also share the following link with your family and friends. Let's get our community on board to share the great news and help others learn more about St Edward's. Click on the link below:
