Message from the Principal

St Anthony’s Parish and St Anthony’s School hold the care, safety and wellbeing of children and young people as central and fundamental responsibilities of the Church.

St Anthony’s is fully compliant with all policies in relation to Child Safety. These documents ensure compliance with the Victorian Government Child Safety Standards which took effect on 1 January 2017 and reflect our Parish's ongoing commitment to ensuring that all children are safe, happy and empowered.

Hello Families and Friends of St Anthony's,

Parents visit to Staff Meeting

On Tuesday we had some of our wonderful parents join us at our staff meeting to share their stories and faith journeys. It was such a great experience listening to the beliefs and stories of our families. Our staff enjoyed the opportunity to learn about our school parents and their faith.

Administration Building Refurbishment

On Wednesday I had a meeting with the architects, MACS staff and the builders for the administration building refurbishment. It included a site visit of the building that is currently being demolished. It was great to see that works have started and it certainly looks different from when I last entered the office last term.

Monash Health Visit

Last week we had the Monash Health Vaccination Bus visit school. We had 54 people receive a vaccination. Vaccinations and mask wearing is one way we can keep ourselves and each other safe and minimise any complications from serious COVID-19 symptoms. I thank Lisa, Debbie and Susan for organising this for our St Anthony's Community.

If you or your child experience any symptoms it is important that you test for COVID-19 and report any positive cases to the school office and the department of health.

School Athletics Carnival

Next Thursday is the St Anthony's School Athletics Carnival which will be held at Ross Reserve in Noble Park. Students must wear their runners and they can wear their house colours. I invite all parents to come along to cheer their child/children on as they compete in the athletic events.

Asbestos Removal

This Saturday, 30th July, a team of professionals will be at school to remove asbestos from the administration building. It is very important that no one comes to the school on Saturday during the day. School will reopen on Monday after a safety inspection has been completed on the site.
