Boarding News

Mrs. Kathryn Searle - Head of Boarding

This week was a bit of a reality shock for me with conversations regarding our Year 12 Block Exams and Test Block Exams in the September school holidays. The year is travelling too fast!

For future planning, when your child is in Year 12, please be advised accommodation is available in the Boarding House for the Test Block Exam week, which usually occurs the second week of the school holidays. It is important to note that boarding rules and regulations and leave policies are in place for this week.

We have quite a few Year 11 and 12 students who have commenced part-time jobs of late. The Boarding House has a very heavy driving schedule in place, and driving students to and from jobs is only possible if it works in with a drop-off or pick-up that is already in place. Please encourage your child to discuss transportation with me before they accept the job and to consider the safety of the finishing time of a shift offered. Due to safety reasons, students are not allowed to walk back to the Boarding House after dark.
