Bunjil the Eagle

In Art this term, Foundation children listened to stories about the Bunjil the eagle. Bunjil was the creator of all living things for the Wurundjeri people.

Looking at the features evident in local artworks by First Nations Peoples as well as the shapes of different feathers, students designed and illustrated patterned feathers to contribute towards a collaborative version of Bunjil. The story of Bunjil inspired this collaborative artwork and contains over 200 unique feathers included. Their eagle is currently on display near the office in the main building.
