From the Director of Marketing, Communications and Engagement

Mr. Stuart Charlton

It has been a privilege to commence my new position as Director of Marketing, Communications and Engagement at Clayfield College. Thank you for the incredible welcome from staff, students, parents, friends, donors, Old Collegians and others, all of whom are committed to the growth and development of the College. Something very special is building at Clayfield College – the sense of change and growth is palpable. In my first eight weeks, I have witnessed the power of the Clayfield College community at work in events such as Giving Day (what a result!), Jazz on the Green, Old Collegians engaging with all our year groups, tours full of prospective families and our current students achieving in all areas of school life. The students strike me as confident, capable and compassionate, and everything we do in the Engagement team is to improve their experience and benefit our extended community.

Can I encourage you to attend the special FREE parent event on Wednesday, 24 August: Dr Justin Coulson, Australia’s leading parenting advice guru, will be speaking at Clayfield College on “How to help your child transition to Secondary School”, 5:30 pm – 7:00 pm. Please register your attendance at this FREE event. This event is particularly relevant if your child is in Years 4 to 8. Thank you to our P&F, who will be offering refreshments to guests prior to the information session.

Finally, as we prepare our budgets and plans for 2023, it is important that we have an accurate picture of our school population for the coming year. It is important to observe the College’s Enrolment Procedures and Business Regulations that require one term’s notice, in writing, of any intention to withdraw your child. Please contact the Enrolments team on (07) 3262 0220 or via enrol@clayfield.qld.edu.au if you have any questions about this process.

I look forward to meeting you at a College event very soon!
