The Treasure Trove
Where are they now?
ST Norbert College has found a new way to unearth treasures from decades past - capturing the stories of former students on audio and publishing them on our website.
Following the success of SNC Radio Plays and Podcasts (a Covid initative), Miss Kerri Hilton has turned her talents to another audio project - tracking down and interviewing former students from the 1980s, 1990s and 2000s for a series entitled The Treasure Trove - St Norbert College Ex-Students’ Stories.
Among the alumni talking about how their education shaped their lives is Dr Alec O’Connell, headmaster at Scotch College; Gabriella Rossitto, a TV journalist; Pete Curulli, a radio broadcaster, and educators in Catholic Education including current SNC teachers Aaron McGoorty and Kelsey Zampino - with more to follow.
“The common theme that has shone through the interviews is the feeling of community that all of these students had at the college and afterwards,’’ Miss Hilton says.
“So many of the students still have close friendships with their school friends. “Their career paths have been very varied and it is so lovely to see so many people from the college making such valuable contributions to society. It definitely shows how an education here has shaped and moulded these students to be people who have a firm belief in community and in themselves and in the value of helping others.’’
So far, Miss Hilton has completed more than 20 interviews.
