PUGGY HUNTER MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME

Value: Up to $15,000 AUD per year

Open/Closing Dates: Monday 29 August - Monday 10 October

The Puggy Hunter Memorial Scholarship Scheme (PHMSS) is designed to encourage and assist undergraduate students in health-related disciplines to complete their studies and join the health workforce. The scheme provides scholarships for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people studying an entry level health course.

JOHN CURTIN SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM CLOSES

Curtin University offer John Curtin Scholarship Programs for academically gifted students. Applicants are nominated by an educational professional, usually a school principal. Female nominees are also eligible to be nominated for the Julia Gillard Women in Leadership Scholarship. 

CURTIN ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE SCHOLARSHIPS

Top Excellence Scholarships at Curtin University were opened in July for 2023. 

CURTIN ATAR ACHIEVEMENT SCHOLARSHIP

Value: $3,000 AUD

Closing Date: Friday 2December

The Curtin ATAR Achievement Scholarship has been developed to encourage Year 12 ATAR students to strive and reach their full potential in their final year of studies. The Scholarship will reward applicants who achieve an ATAR 3 points higher than their predicted ATAR (based on Year 11 studies) and who want to pursue study at Curtin University.

UWA HARRY LEAVER SCHOLARSHIP

Value: $45,000 AUD

Closing Date: Friday 4 November

The late Harry Leaver bequeathed funds to The University of Western Australia to provide a scholarship for eligible regional or remote students, preferably from Moora or the Mid-West region of Western Australia, to assist with the cost of accommodation to commence and pursue a Bachelor of Science at the University.

TAX, SUPER + YOU COMPETITION

If you’re a student in Year 7-12, we want you to unleash your creativity and find a new way to tell us about tax and super. This competition will not only give you an insight into the value of tax and super, but you have the chance to win a share of $7,600 in prizes. For your chance to become Australia’s next tax and super creative genius, you must:

  • Be a student in Year 7–12
  • Be enrolled in the Australian education system
  • Only submit up to three entries per person/group
  • Complete a separate entry form to accompany each entry
  • Complete a separate photo consent form for each person shown in your entry
  • Comply with the terms and conditions.

There is no entry fee. Entries close Friday 19 August.

FIRST PITCH COMPETITION

First Pitch calls on budding young entrepreneurs aged up to 18 to enter their best business pitch for the chance to win great prizes. You can submit a 3-minute pitch on a business innovation or idea that can make a difference in your community and Australia wide. Your pitch will be judged by a local panel of entrepreneurs and business professionals, and the state winners get to participate in the National Championship.
