Positive Education @ Anson

Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL)

The current PBL focus is Be aware: take care! We are encouraging students to watch out for their peers, play and interact safely and look after belongings and property. Each stage is focusing on ways in which they can take care of class resources responsibly so they can be used effectively for teaching and learning. On the playground, students are looking after equipment and packing away bikes and ezy-riders safely at the end of breaks. Staff are developing new road safety resources to teach students the rules of the track. Working together we can all be aware and take care.

PBL Winter Wonderland Disco

On Wednesday night 52 students rugged up in their Winter woollies and braved the chill to attend the disco. Moving and grooving to the music soon had everyone warmed up and singing along to their favourite tunes. Glow bands and balloons amused the crowd and a sausage sandwich filled empty tummies before leaving happy but exhausted.

Thank you to the staff who volunteered to help organise and run the disco and to families for venturing out on a cold Winter night.

Positive Wellbeing for Learning (PWL)

We are continuing to embed gratitude in our daily practices across the school. Stage 6 have been discussing what they are grateful for each morning during their morning circle. They have also learned the Auslan sign for being grateful/thankful.

Next week stage 5 are taking on a gratitude scavenger hunt where they will take photos of all the things they are grateful for in their lives. You too can play along at home.
