From the Principal
A buzz of excitement has been around the school for the last few weeks as we have had many visitors to our school to celebrate Education Week and the opening of Art on Anson. It has been wonderful to showcase our student's work and the many changes around the school. Thank you to the parents and carers who visited and shared morning tea with their child's class and visited the exhibition - I am so proud of the students and our school.
For more information and pictures about these events, please have a look at Anson in Review and Inside the Classroom.
It is lovely to have Mrs Jessica Hodder and Mrs Kathey Middleton back at school after both took extended leave.
Many students have been preparing for the Orange Eisteddfod and I was fortunate to see the primary dance group and the secondary choir take out 1st place for their enthusiastic and enjoyable performances. Thank you to the staff for the extra hours of rehearsal and preparation.
The school concert, Public Schools showcase and the athletics carnival are coming up at the end of this term, so I hope to see as many parents, grandparents, carers and community members along as we showcase our talented students.
The playground on the main site continues to improve with Mr Wilson our talented general assistant finishing off the sensory area and installing the new spinning pod. We hope that the OOSH Hub on the campus side will soon be installed (if the rain stays away long enough) and the storage shed on Lord's Place which has taken nearly 2 years will be erected during the holidays.
I'm so glad to welcome Spring and see the last of Winter. Hopefully the days will start to warm up. Please ensure your child has a hat or cap to wear for breaks.
Looking forward to seeing you at the concert or carnival in a couple of weeks.
