Well done to every student that participated and congratulations to all of the students who went on to represent our school at the District Athletics Carnival on Friday.

Rugby League

On Wednesday last week we had a Rugby League game against Narranga. At the start of the game there was a lot of pressure but we were confident. By the end of the first half we were up by 6 points. It was a tight score, yet we had a good mindset.

Fortunately the game played out in our favour and we won 24-18.

Good luck in round 6 against Tacking Point PS this Tuesday.

Netball

Congratulations to our school netball team. They made it to the quarter finals of the North Coast competition, but were unfortunately beaten by Frank Partridge PS. The whole team played with skill and determination and were terrific ambassadors for our school. Well done guys. Thank you to all of the parents who have helped with netball this year.

Basketball

'On Friday 17th July, the Boambee Boys Basketball team travelled to Sportz Central to compete in the 2022 PSSA Basketball Knock Out Gala Day. I was very grateful and proud of all players in the team as they demonstrated not only amazing athletic ability and skill, but also high levels of sportsmanship. They did a wonderful job considering they had not trained regularly as a team in preparation due to other school commitments.

Unfortunately, we lost our first game to Sawtell 19-25, leading us to be knocked out of the PSSA competition element. However, in our second game against Sandy Beach, the boys pulled together and successfully won the game convincingly 63-8. I would like to congratulate all our boys in their efforts and was very glad to see they enjoyed themselves on the day.'
