Any sales from Book Club go towards reward points for our school library.  Over the 12 months, the school buys books for our school library and all the students are able to enjoy brand new books.

Some of the great books this time are:

Pig the Elf  in hardcover

 for only $10.00

Pig the Star also in

hardcover for $15.00

This hilarious new book by Dave Hughes and his wife Holly Ife is about Martha having great manners and not farting!  Kids will find this book so funny!  Great Christmas gift.

Excuse Me! is in hardcover and only $12.00, which is cheaper than Booktopia!

**Just another reminder that our school currently has over 1,000 books still overdue, so please help reduce this number!

Please help your child look for any library books at home, in the car, under beds or at their grandparent's houses.

CONGRATULATIONS

Last night, Bailey L. (4S) had the honour of presenting an award with Australia's Alicia Molik at the 2017 Newcombe Medal Awards. He earned this opportunity after demonstrating his vast tennis knowledge during an earlier interview. This interview was also shown during the night on the large screen, where Bailey stated that 'arguably Rod Laver is the best tennis player'. As well as presenting the award, Bailey had an unscripted chat with Rove McManus telling Rove that his favourite tennis player is Roger Federer, whilst apologizing to the Aussie players who were present. The event was held at the Crown Palladium. Bailey did an amazing job and was acknowledged by tennis stars like Alicia Molik, Sam Groth, Daria Gavrilova, and even John Newcombe.

Well done Bailey!

CANTEEN NEWS

The canteen committee have decided to trial bring your own reusuable 8oz cups (size of the school glue sticks).

This has been recommended by Lily, Murphy and Natasha from 3Z, as part of their action from their last unit of inquiry.

This will be better for the environment because you cannot recycle the current cups, and you will not be losing any amount of slushy.

Please make sure your cup is clean.

You will still be able to purchase a slushie without a cup, but please try to bring your own.

100th ANNIVERSARY MEMORABILIA STILL AVAILABLE

It's not too late to purchase 100th anniversary memorabilia!

You can purchase items directly from the office.

The special edition 100th anniversary book is also available for $15.

It includes many interesting articles about the history of the school and is a great memento!
