HARVEST MASS

Saturday 20th March, 2021

We are looking forward to our Harvest Mass this Saturday 20th March to celebrate, share and give thanks as Jesus and his people celebrated the 'Feast of Ingathering' or 'the 'Feast of Tabernacles.' People shared from their harvest, and goods were collected for the poor.

Farmers, gardeners and cooks, are all invited to bring some item of produce on that day – vegetables, fruit, grain, dairy products, preserves, meat, herbs, hay, and even plants and flowers to swap and share at the trading table. In addition, by giving to the St. Vincent de Paul Society non-perishables like a can, jar, or packet of something produced in our Goulburn-Murray food bowl, we can share local abundance with those in need. We encourage people to join the entry procession on the day and to put their items in the SVDP baskets at the altar.

God, giver of all life, blessed are you in the fruits of the earth; blessed are you in the work of human hands and in the harvest of human creativity.

COMMUNAL RECONCILIATION

Communal Reconciliation will be held on Thursday, 25th March at 7.00pm in St Augustine’s Church, Kyabram.

PPC MARCH MEETING UPDATE

Developing our Parish Strategic Plan is underway. Parish Priorities have been drafted and are now available for comments and input by parishioners.

These priorities have been put on display at the back the Church and on our parish Website, Facebook and weekly bulletin.

PPC have been notified of the retirement of Marie Dillon and Mary Elliott from the Parish Care Group. The care group has now gone into recess. To acknowledge the great work of the Care Group, and especially Marie and Mary, over many years, a Mass for the intentions of all Care Group supporters will be held on Tuesday, 13th April at 5.00pm. All are welcome to attend.
