Margot's Marvellous Murals

Anyone walking the corridors of our school recently will have noticed them springing to life as they become adorned with beautiful artworks by our 'artist in residence', Margot Bagnall.

Thanks to generous sponsorship from the Bendigo Bank, we have been able to employ Margot to rejuvenate some of our walls, particularly in the 'older' wing.

Students have enjoyed watching the process as Margot sketches her designs in pencil, before building layers of colour and texture and finally, completing her outlines in black. The bold, larger than life murals have added a vibrancy to our school that sits well with our positive, welcoming culture.

Our VCE Art students were able to interview Margot in order to learn about her artistic process - a significant element of their learning this year.

Bendigo Bank Beaufort Branch Manager, Vicky Hancock, recently visited us to observe Margot in action. We thank her for her wonderful support of our school.
