Lunchtime Program

This year we have introduced Skipping Club which is run by Ms Nicki Durrant on Thursdays and Fridays. Nicki ran a very successful skipping club at her last school where they performed a school events and at other schools including St Bridget's. The students are not only taught how to skip but are trained to perform routines and cool tricks. Our students have embraced Skipping Club with their usual enthusiasm as you can see from the photos. We can't wait to see their first performance. 

We also have on offer our Lunchtime Chess Club which is run by Northern Star Chess and caters for a range of abilities from beginners to advanced. We have 20 of our students who participate. Chess Club is a great way to prepare for our Chess Tournaments. We have 10 tournaments scheduled for this year including 2 Semi Finals and 2 State Finals. At our first and most recent tournament this year we placed 5th out of 11 schools. Our highest ranked student was Eleanor closely followed by Darren both who are in SLC. Eleanor won a bronze medal and qualified for the Girls' State Final.
