How Educational Support Enhances our Teaching Experience

Amelie Llorca, Early Childhood Teacher

The early childhood education sector is so often underrated. Sometimes, there is not enough recognition for organisations that constantly support their educators and offer above the standard requirements.

In many kindergartens and long day-care services, educators and teachers feel overwhelmed at the beginning of the year with having to keep up with all enrolment documentation, allergies and asthma support plans, emergency procedures, policies, etc.

As a new teacher starting out in a new service, it can become very stressful. At GEKA, you have the enrolments team to assist with all the upfront work of gathering essential paperwork, educational support throughout induction, streamlined documents for COVID-19 safe plans, emergency responses and curriculum documentation. You receive a checklist of what you need to do from the very beginning, along with the extra support provided, to achieve it.

Not to mention, when you are lucky to become a staff member, you receive support from your experienced colleagues that have been there for a long time (that must say something about the quality of this workplace, doesn't it?).

They are part of the recruitment process, support you, show you around, let you experiment and are open to changes.

Like a large family, GEKA Management applies the same principles to the educators as educators do with the children. Educators are seen as competent, empowered and trusted.

Our families are very welcoming and trusting. Some of our families have had their children previously attend GEKA's services or have heard positive reviews about GEKA out in the community, so choose to return again and again.

The teachers and educators are always in the best state of mind. We enjoy working collaboratively together and with you and your children, everyday.
