Rachael Gemmill – Early Childhood Teacher and Inclusion Support Coordinator
Rachael has worked for GEKA for over 8 years. She completed her teaching placement at GEKA Bentleigh East, where her own children attended. She then joined the GEKA casual team before taking on a permanent teacher role at GEKA Glover St. She completed her Masters in Inclusive Educator about 3 years ago, before taking on our Inclusion Support Coordinator role in 2019.
Rachael’s favourite thing about working at GEKA is the children and people who she works with. She is very passionate about supporting all children to actively participate in their local kindergarten and reflecting on how the environment and teaching practices impact children’s learning. She has a special interest in trauma informed practice.
