Thank you to the boys of Liturgy Choir, Big Band 1 and Brass Ensemble, who all contributed to making this celebration a special one. Special mention must go to Samuel Mead and William Curr who were outstanding in leading the congregation throughout the Mass.
Triple J Hottest 100
Congratulations to 2005 Old Boy Paul Furness, member of Australian band Ball Park Music. The band recently polled at number 4 in Triple J’s Hottest 100. The poll has been going since 1989 with over 3 million listeners voting in the 2020 poll.
National Orchestra of France
Over the last 30 years, Marist Musician Old Boys have gone on to feature across the world in a variety of genres and musical formats. 2005 Old Boy Gerard McFadden, who is currently based in Paris, is a clear example of this. This is a recent clip of him performing with the Orchestre national d'Île-de-France. This prestigious orchestra is recognised as the largest permanent orchestra in the world, presenting around a hundred concerts each season throughout France. Gerard plays the Double Bass and is seated in the middle of the bass section in this performance.
