SAC ALTERNATIVE ARRANGEMENT

If you are aware that you will be absent for a scheduled SAC or you are away on the day you must ensure you complete a SAC Alternative Arrangement form, this is also available on SIMON.

This form must be signed by yourself, parent/guardian and completed by your subject teacher. Once this form has been completed it needs to be returned to me or Ms Weaver.

Once this form has been processed, you will receive a confirmation email and further details from Ms Weaver.

SAC alternative arrangements are held each Thursday commencing at 3.30pm to 5.00pm in the Library.

CAREER MEETINGS

Thank you to students who have attended their Careers meeting so far. It is exciting to hear the varied and interesting vocations you are individually working towards.

Year 12’s: As explained in each meeting, by being organised and understanding the VTAC/SATAC process now will help reduce stress and worry later in the year when it comes time to set up your admission centre account.

Year 11’s: An opportunity to better understand course options available, understand prerequisites, explore the variety of courses available and university options.

For students looking into apprenticeships, employment or unsure of their pathway are equally encouraged to make a time to meet with me.

A gentle reminder, if you cannot make your appointment please contact me as soon as possible.

WORK EXPERIENCE

Work Experience notes have been distributed via your home room to all Year 10 students. Please read and discuss with your parents/guardian and if you wish to participate please return your signed note to me.

Participation in work experience prepares students for the demands and expectations of the working world. It helps students make informed career decisions by assessing their aptitudes and interests, and exploring potential careers. It can improve students' maturity, confidence and self-reliance and develop useful skills such as communication, team working, planning and organising, timekeeping, problem solving.
