The Year 7s have been learning about robotics and how to create programs for the Lego Mindstorm EV3. Students worked in pairs to solve a series of challenges to improve problem-solving, critical thinking and collaboration skills. These challenges required students to create programs that instruct their EV3s to perform certain manoeuvers such as to create a shape or complete a full rotation. Here are a few images and videos of 7C and 7M having fun with their robots.

CODE QUEST

Grok Learning launched their Code Quest challenges on Monday 29 October and it is great to see some of your students taking part at the various levels. The best thing about these challenges is that you can go at your own pace as long as you finish it all by Sunday 2 December. Some students are focusing on the BBC Micro:bits, others are participating in the various levels of Python. Some really keen students are doing both! Just remember that you need to get all your challenges in by Sunday 2 December to have best chance of getting a perfect score.
