Academic Excellence

Academic Excellence Program

Last Friday marked the official start of the St Norbert College Academic Excellence Program for students in Years 7 to 9. Thank you to Mr Harvey for dropping by not only to congratulate the students on striving to challenge themselves academically, but also for getting out of bed so early on such a cold morning!

This week the students focused on habits, how to form positive habits and how to change bad habits. We also began researching different types of bridges and the forces that act upon them as a start to our Bridge Building Challenge.

The group of students will meet weekly to learn about aspects of higher order thinking, complete challenging projects and enter a variety of competitions. We wish them well on their journey of discovery, exploration and adventure!

Australian Brain Bee Challenge (ABBC)

Congratulations to the Year 10 students: Diep Nguyen, Tony Ngo, Isioma Onyemgba and Juphil Jiji. They are the top four ranking St Norbert College students in the ABBC. They will be attending the State Finals in June. We wish them well in their further study of the brain and Neuroscience in the lead up to the competition.
