Senior Girls Netball Team

On Tuesday 7 May, the Canons Senior Girls Netball Team travelled to Emmanuel Catholic College to play Round 1 of the ACC Champion School Netball Tournament. With only 7 players, the girls played a full game each. The girls showed fantastic defence pressure, led by Gigi Armenti, Suzanne Vagg-Johnson and Anushka Kotian. Courtney Fitzgerald and Lauren Verbiest took control of the centre court, and Zeta Stevens and Kadijah Brown were able to finish off our hard-work with scoring goals. It was a tight contest throughout the whole game, with Canons only ahead by 1 or 2 goals after each quarter. In the end, the girls won the game by 3 goals.

A fantastic way to start the competition – hopefully we can continue the success.
