ICT REPORT

YEAR 7s

It has been wonderful to welcome the new Year 7s to the ICT Department at McKinnon. The students have been really enthusiastic about their new Chromebooks and are quickly learning how to use these in the school environment. In the first few weeks, students will be learning all about their Google Drive and their shared folders. This allows them to create new content and to share that with their teachers across all subjects.

The students are already working on their first topic, “Who I am”, in preparation for the Year 7 Parent Night on Wednesday, 1 March. By then, the students should have prepared a poster about themselves using the web based software application LucidPress. These posters will be on display in the homerooms for parents to see.
