WELCOME

A warm welcome back to all of our students and families in the Junior School.  A special welcome to our new Year 7s and students that are joining us for the first time in Years 8 and 9.  We hope your years at McKinnon will be filled with much success and friendship.

JUNIOR SCHOOL LEADERSHIP POSITIONS FOR 2017

Congratulations to the following students that been appointed as Junior School Leaders for 2017. The successful leadership candidates were selected due to the quality of their written applications and personal interviews.  Many thanks to Ms Brown, Mr De Salvo and Mr Hoskin for facilitating the selection process.  We hope all our Student Leaders have a fulfilling and rewarding experience in undertaking their leadership roles.

PARENT INFORMATION EVENINGS

A series of Parent Information evenings will be held at 7:00PM in the Assembly Hall on the following dates:

Year 8 - Monday 27 February

Year 9 - Wednesday 15 February

Year 10 - Thursday 23 February

Year 11 - Monday 20 February

Year 12 - Tuesday 14 February

These evenings will be conducted by your child's Student Management team. Each evening will include important information about camps, the academic and extracurricular program at that year level, attendance requirements, the academic and pastoral support provided to students by the College, etc. Students need not attend these nights, as they are focussed on information for parents.

Parents of Year 7 students are invited to attend the following:

Our 'Meet the Principal' afternoon tea, at 2:00PM in the Assembly Hall on Wednesday 22 February; and

A Parent Information evening from 5:30PM in the Assembly Hall on Wednesday 1 March; this will be conducted by the Student Management team, and attended by all teachers of Year 7 classes.  Further information about this event will be provided closer to the date.
