GoIT Girls 2020!

This one of a kind, no-cost, week-long work experience program for year 10 and 11 female students, helps to inspire a new generation of innovators and science technology, engineering, mathematics (STEM) professionals. Tata Consultancy Services (TCS)’ GoIT Girls is a week-long work experience program that provides an opportunity for over 100 girls a year with the prospect of inspiring them to pursue a career in technology

At TCS’ GoIT Girls program, participants meet with senior executives from the IT industry who provide insight into various roles that exist across the business spectrum. They work on a challenge that will require them to learn about the different aspects of working in a technology organisation. The program provides insight into and challenges stereotypes, of the technology industry and challenges gender occupational stereotypes.

UNIVERSITY

CHARLES STURT UNIVERSITY  VISITS MCC: Two student ambassadors gave a lunch time presentation to Year 11 and 12 students. Covered the different faculties, early entry, accommodation, scholarships and more.  

MACQUARIE UNIVERSITY LEAP PROGRAM: 18 Year 10 students were selected to attend the Macquarie University Roadshow, which gave an insight into what university is all about and participate in a variety of sessions including, cognitive Science, Sustainability and Conservation, PathwaysCreative Arts, Business, Ancient history, Chiropractic , Exercise Science and Pathways to university.    

The University of Wollongong have partnered with two of the world's biggest sporting clubs, Tottenham Hotspur and Crusaders to deliver world class football and rugby programs to UOW and UOW College students.
