Projects

Senior and Intermediate students are currently completing their major projects for the year. They have planned, resourced, organised and begun to complete their projects that range from building jenga sets for local primary schools to putting on a bake sale to raise funds for the Royal Children’s Hospital. They are now getting to the stage of completing their portfolios and preparing for their formal presentation in week 2 of next term. We are very proud of the efforts of the hard working students and hope that you (parents and guardians) get an opportunity to see how much your students have grown.

Don’t be At Risk

With every up there is a down….. Letters will be coming home this week to encourage students to catch up on missed work. There are a number of students who have failed to use catch up sessions this term and are now at risk of not completing the year successfully. If you are concerned about your student’s progress, please call us at the College on 9789 4544.

Cerberus Excursion 11/9/2018

On Tuesday the 11th of September a group of senior students travelled to the Cerberus navy training base. We were able to experience a lot of tasks that are undertaken by the navy. We saw simulators through fires and flooding rooms, we visited where the naval officers slept and the rooms they stayed in. We learnt about jobs that the navy have such engineering and shipmen and how long their training goes for and their career outcomes. We also learnt about guns and how they work and what they are used for, as well as how to become a sailor and careers that may be in our interested industries. Over all I would say that this excursion was a success and everyone enjoyed it. I would recommend this excursion in 2019 even if you are not interested in joining, you will still have a blast.

End of Year 12 Valedictory

Our Seniors are coming to the end of their education tenure and will soon be leaving us. The planned final day for all Year 12 students is Wednesday October 24th. Students will enjoy a buffet breakfast and then an entertaining look back through their past at their final assembly (ever!). This is a fantastic opportunity to get together as a senior group and reflect on the year. This is a free event but we do require dietary information. See the Compass event at https://mcclellandcollege-vic.compass.education/Organise/Activities/Events/Event.aspx?eventId=15990

The celebrations then continue at the Frankston Arts Centre at 6pm, where formal awards will be handed out. Please contact us if you still require tickets. See the event on Compass at https://mcclellandcollege-vic.compass.education/Organise/Activities/Events/Event.aspx?eventId=15988
