FIT2DRIVE Speakers have done it again!

At McClelland College we consider ourselves to be at the forefront of student and community safety and Caitlyn Mitchell and Sarah Garnier of Year 11 are no exception to this. Not only were Caitlyn and Sarah invited to speak at the launch of the Arthurs Seat Challenge back in July, but they were formally asked by the board members of Fit2Drive and Bluescope Steel to speak at the Fit2Drive/ Arthurs Seat Challenge Launch at BlueScope Steel in front of 60 of their workers on the 23rd of August 2018.

Caitlyn and Sarah represented the school spectacularly and were very confident and informative both of the Fit2drive program and what it means to McClelland College and the local community, as well as the importance of registering and being a part of the Arthurs Seat Challenge and where those funds are used to raise awareness to youth of the Mornington Peninsula.

It is important to acknowledge how much effort has gone into preparing for these launches, and just how well these two leaders of Year 11 have represented the greater McClelland community. I trust that they have enjoyed the experience and are able to pass the mantle on to the Year 11’s of 2019 as this is truly a wonderful experience to be a part of. Once again, I must thank Mr Sam Watson for donating his time to taking the students around on their speaking tour and being the professional photographer for all of their appearances.
