Tee Ball Gala Day

MCS Students participate in Tee Ball Gala Day

43 keen and very excited sports enthusiasts caught a bus to Jack Brabham playing fields to participate in the Tee ball Gala Day. For some of our Stage1 students this was their first trip on a bus! We arrived to assemble and listen to the simplified rules for games that were intended to be fun, safe and non-competitive. Many had no idea what Tee ball was, how a diamond playing field was set up and what the aim of the game was. However, after our 5 teams had all played 3 games, we were die hard Tee ballers. It was a wonderful opportunity for some of the younger members of our school to learn about sportsmanship, team co-operation, team support and learn some new skills. Everyone represented their school admirably, listened to encouragement and enjoyed the spirit of the day. It was fantastic to see some children really get the chance to understand the strategies of the game, field like pros and be so proud of a home run.

Well done to Mrs Collins for her organisation and thank you to our team managers who gave up their day to support these lucky children – Mrs Collins, Mrs Harbison, Mrs Mitchell, Mrs Olsson, and Mrs Armstrong.  What a fun way to end the term.
