Sporting Gala Days

Across a busy week in Term Four, many of the Year 5 and 6 students from Greenvale Primary School participated in a number of Sporting Gala Days. This included the Cricket Gala, Northern Metro Region Volleyball and the Boys and Girls Rugby Gala Days.

The Cricket Gala was a huge success, with over sixty Greenvale Primary students entering the competition across seven teams. Throughout the hot day at Roxburgh Park, our students played with great endeavour and spirit, with fantastic results. We now have a boys and girls cricket team who will go onto play Regional Finals later in Term 4.

The Northern Metro Region Volleyball, was one level below state representation and the competition was fierce. Our girls played their best volleyball for the year, pushing each team to wire in close and tense, however were unsuccessful in advancing through to State Championships. Congratulations to our Volleyball Girls. You are an amazing team, keep practising and you will go onto bigger and better things.

The Boys and Girls Rugby Galas were a heap of fun. Despite the heat out at Sunbury all of our teams proudly displayed their athleticism and our school values throughout the fantastic event. We had a mix of results throughout the two days but all students had an amazing experience to further develop their rugby skills and knowledge.

Well done to all students who participated in the Galas throughout the week, you pushed on through hot conditions, continued to develop your skills and had a great time as well.
