Welfare team news

Welcome back message from the Wellbeing Team!

With everyone soon returning to the school building, we asked some of the VCE students what advice they would give to Years 7-10 coming back next week.

They told Wellbeing we should offer ONLY 4 THINGS to remember because everyone has had ENOUGH of new information right now! So here we go:

  1. It's basically normal! Mostly just like coming back after school holidays so don't stress too much. There are some changes to how you move around the building so look and listen out for instructions, but otherwise it's 'just school'.
  2. Lockers are off limits - be organised so you don't have to carry too much around. Check your daily organiser and only bring the books you absolutely need for each day. Better still, use online resources and PDF textbooks.
  3. Bring a water bottle - you can't drink from the taps at the moment. Stay hydrated people!
  4. You have to use hand sanitiser a lot. Bring your own little bottle to make sure you always have some, and maybe some hand cream too so your hands don't completely dry out.

So there you have it - it's mostly fine and normal at school. (Sneaky 5th point - some people are wearing masks so you can do that if you want to, but you don't have to.)

We look forward to welcoming everyone back! For students already accustomed to the new rules, please help out the people just learning them. Kindness is everything.

And remember (extra sneaky 6th point!) the Wellbeing team is on Level 2 so come and see us if you need to.
