Recorders!  Recorders!  Recorders!

Recorders have arrived and we have had our first lesson this week. Students performed extremely well and I’m excited by the prospect for some great ensembles and activities this year.

*Due to public health issues this year I won’t be allowing students to borrow from the communal tub. Even if they wash recorders under a tap it is not going to be enough to prevent the spread of germs, so please get your child their own recorder.

Choir: Thursday morning 8am – 9am in the Music Room

Choir is for any student in years 3, 4, 5, & 6 who wish to perform in the Night of Music concert at

Ivanhoe Girls’ Grammar School Performing Arts Centre on Saturday May 16th.

Strings Program

GRADE 2 STRINGS- Yr 2+  a group for beginning violin and cello players

Mondays and Thursdays 8:15

Will be in music room (violins) and RL5 (cellos) for a few weeks and thereafter in Hall

CORELLI STRINGS – Yr 3+ a group for violin, cello and bass players who have played for a year

Fridays 8:05am
