Book Club Delivery for Issue 5

I have contacted Scholastic regarding the delay in delivery of Issue 5’s orders.  Apparently, “Due to an increase of Issue 5 Book club orders and Book Fairs' running; orders are currently delayed in our warehouse.”  

Hopefully they will be despatched soon for delivery next week.  Apologies for the delay.

Book Week

A big, fat thank you to all those who supported Book Fair this week.  It is a crazy, but fun few days and the kids certainly get a buzz out of going “shopping” for their favourite book.  It has always surprised me, in a good way, just how much books are loved by all the students and parents.  Hard to believe that it was predicted not that long ago that books in printed form would die out, but they are still as popular as ever….thank goodness!!  I’ll let you know sales figures next week, but I think we did quite well this year.

We had a couple of late scratching’s (Claire Hurley & Juddie Boyd) but thanks to Stephen O’Sullivan for subbing on Monday night for Claire.

Your help was very much appreciated, and it was lovely to meet those parents I hadn’t already.  We are unable to run these events without parent assistance, so thank you to everyone who put their hand up and contacted me regarding helping out.

Book Week

Next week is CBCA Book Week, which I’m really looking forward to.  With activities planned and a library to decorate, I hope everyone enjoys the week. There are some wonderful books that are up for awards this year.

Also looking forward to the announcement next week of the winners of our Book Mark competition and having the Major Winner’s book mark printed for everyone to use.

Library Session Times

• Option A: check your classroom day/time for returning books.
• Option B: tub outside the library door so books can be returned at any time.
