Principal's News

Dear Families,
It has been a very interesting week at Trinity, with excursions planned and happening and conversations around Year 6 Graduation and end of year activities filling the meeting rooms and staff rooms. We completed our orientation program with our wonderful 2020 preps, who were so settled earlier this week I thought they might have been Grade 1s.
We have also been reviewing our camps and are organizing visits over the coming weeks to inspect possible new camps for our students to attend over the next few years. This is to ensure that the camps we attend give our students challenging, varied (and fun!) experiences that support their learning when they go on camp.
Choir Visit
The Choir from St Matthew's Fawkner visited and spent the day with our Choir. Part of their activities involved songwriting, and learning song basics on the violin. Both schools performed for the whole community and did an amazing job. It was such an incredible learning experience for all the students involved and one that we will continue to foster in the year ahead. Thank you to Belinda and the staff at St Matthews who did an incredible job organising the day.
Family Consultation- Masterplanning
A reminder that this afternoon there is the opportunity to view our proposed Masterplan and to give feedback to our Architects. The meeting will happen in the Library at the end of the school day.
Staffing
Congratulations to Sylvia Holroyd who has been given a level Leader/Classroom position at Our Lady Help of Christians, East Brunswick, starting in 2020. Sylvia has been a wonderful member of our community who has, over the past couple of years done a great job leading Religious Education. She has been a highly effective and positive classroom teacher and staff member. We are delighted for Sylvia and wish her all the best for next year!
Samantha Tighe (Sammi) who has worked at Trinity as a Learning Support Officer has just completed her teaching studies and has been offered a position as classroom teacher at St Martin de Porres in Laverton. This is a real credit to Sammi who many of our families have known through her local swim-teaching at the Richmond Pool. Well done Sammi and good luck in your first year of teaching next year!
Movember Update
It's amazing how much growing a moustache starts good conversations around mental health. As a result of our Movember Team two other Catholic Schools have initiated teams with their own staff and families. Below are some ways to get involved.
Thanks everyone- have a great week!
