Each issue, we will be introducing you to a member or two of our school staff team!
We are starting with our newest additions and those recently returned from periods of leave.
Hi Everyone,
It is great to be back and part of this fabulous team at Newtown Primary.
I have many years’ teaching experience at Newtown Primary, having taught at each level of the curriculum.
I have taken some time away from teaching to raise my family. My twin boys are currently in Grade 3 and my daughter has started Prep this year.
As a family we love playing tennis, spending time on the beach, regular fishing adventures and watching the Geelong Cats win!
Hello Everyone!
My name is Rachael Fisher, and I am a new teacher in the Middle Learning Community. I’ve been teaching for 5 years now in the western suburbs of Melbourne, at newly established, large schools.
I grew up in beautiful Bright in Victoria where I went to school and university before making the move 6 years ago to Geelong, with my partner Jarrad.
We lived for a couple of years in Drumcondra and then bought land and built our home in Bannockburn.
On the weekend you’ll find me mountain bike riding, camping, walking our two dogs (Ryda and Hooch), doing work around our home and travelling to my family in Bright or to Jarrad’s family in Mount Gambier.
I am very excited to be teaching at Newtown Primary School and am looking forward to being a part of the community here. I can’t wait to see what this year brings!
