School Captains Update

Last week on Thursday our NPS grade 6s got introduced to our new prep buddies. When it was finally time we got straight into finding out our buddies, I am so grateful that I got my wonderful buddie Madeline! That session we got to read some books and learn about each other, it was good fun! On the 16th we had our second buddie session. We made little ducks made out of circles and a hand cutout. First thing was to find coloured paper, we chose pink, blue and orange. Second was to find a circle object, Madeline and I straight away found a hand sanitizer bottle and traced around it and cut it out. After that we did the same to my hand! The preps are very good at tracing. After that we made little feet and a beak out of half circles. The preps smashed it! I’m having so much fun with my buddy and I’m so excited for further buddy sessions! 

In Senior Mac, Mr Mac is reading us a class novel called the westing game. The book is about a guy named Sam Westing who has been murdered by one of his heirs. Those heirs receive 4 clues in a pair to try and solve the mystery. In senior Mac we have been keeping track of the book by having an information board with all sixteen heirs on it and we put sticky notes next to them to keep track. Each student received a character that they had to put notes on and write facts about them. It is a fun book and I really enjoy a good mystery book so this is my kind of music.
