Students get into the festive spirit

Our Year 9 students have been getting into the giving spirit this week, packing hampers for Vinnies and creating cards which will be distributed to families in time for Christmas. Thank you to all Year 7-9 students and families for your generous donations.

All is merry and bright

It was showtime in the Nagle Centre today, with our Kinder to Year 2 students performing a marvellous rendition of the Christmas Nativity and delightful carols at their Christmas concert.

Christmas nativity scene

How adorable is this? Prep Possums created a mural depicting the Christmas nativity scene, which is currently on display on their classroom wall. We particularly love the bright colours and attention to detail! Well done, Possums.

'Tis the season to get crafty

Christmas crafts have taken on a whole new meaning in the College's Design in Wood Centre. Check out some of the wonderful woodwork recently produced by our talented Year 9 Materials and Design students.

Muddy mayhem

St Mary's College Senior School students jumped into mud pits, slid down mud slides and crawled through tunnels and trenches when they took on the Redbanks School Mud Run last week. The students emerged from the obstacle course dripping in mud and a little worse for wear, but judging by the smiles on their faces, a lot of fun was had by all!

Year 10s hit the town

From top secret Men in Black on a mission to save the city from intergalactic disaster to Strawberry Shortcake and her berry besties, the '90s and early 2000s were back with a vengeance on Tuesday 29 November for the return of the Year 10 Great Race - a scavenger hunt adventure around Hobart that tests the students' teamwork and leadership skills.

Boundless fun at junior athletics carnivals

Plenty of cheering, high fives, big smiles and personal bests could be seen (and heard) at the Prep to Year 2 Athletics Carnival on Wednesday 23 November. Students had a fantastic time participating in the events, to the delight of all who came along.

Students make a splash

The water might have been a bit fresh but that certainly didn't stop our Year 5 and 6 students splashing into their recent Beach Day activities. Well done to all students who participated in the Surf Life Saving Tasmania 'Ready Set Rescue' program at Seven Mile Beach and the way you all showed courage and resilience.
