Year 10 2023 | Welcome to Senior School Dinner

As the school year draws to a close, many preparations are in place for the beginning of next year, including the Year 10 Welcome to Senior School Dinner. The dinner is scheduled for Friday 5 May at Blundstone Arena. Details will be communicated to students and parents/carers early next year in Term 1.

When we stop and reflect on the year, students, families and staff should feel justifiably proud of their success on so many levels.  We are grateful for our learnings, for the friendships shared, for our achievements and our service. Thank you to our parent and carer community for your assistance throughout the year and for trusting us with your beautiful sons and daughters. Thank you to the staff for your dedication and commitment to the students and to their education.

School TV | Special Report: Surviving Christmas

Christmas and the holiday season can be a challenging and stressful time due to a variety of factors: financial pressures, relationship issues and loneliness, to name a few. Data shows that support organisations are often faced with a huge increase in the number of calls from people seeking assistance.

A special report available on SchoolTV provides parents and carers with ideas on how to achieve a stress-free Christmas and where to seek help should it be required.

I wish all members of the St Mary’s College community a safe and enjoyable holiday break and may Christmas be a time of faith, hope and love for you and your family.

When we say 'It’s Christmas,’ we mean that God has spoken
into the world his last, his deepest,
His most beautiful word in the incarnate Word,
a word that can no longer be revoked because it is God’s definitive deed,
because it is God Himself in the world.
And this word means:
I love you, you, the world and all humanity.
