Message from the Principal

St Anthony’s Parish and St Anthony’s School hold the care, safety and wellbeing of children and young people as central and fundamental responsibilities of the Church.

St Anthony’s is fully compliant with all policies in relation to Child Safety. These documents ensure compliance with the Victorian Government Child Safety Standards which took effect on 1 January 2017 and reflect our Parish's ongoing commitment to ensuring that all children are safe, happy and empowered.

Hello families and friends of St Anthony's,

I know we ask it every year however, I have to pose the same question again  - Where has the year gone? Times flies when you're having fun!

I am so pleased with what we’ve been able to achieve as a community! Together we’ve worked through the challenges of COVID – 19 and we’ve managed to achieve great things. We’ve been flexible, resilient and persistent and through it all as a community, we’ve made sure that everyone has flourished and felt known!

Graduation

I am also proud the wonderful Graduation Mass and ceremony that was held on Tuesday evening!   Our wonderful Year 5/6 staff assisted the students in creating a beautiful Mass and an exciting awards ceremony.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our families for all that you do to contribute to our wonderful school and wider community. Without the support of families, many experiences that are planned for the children wouldn’t be possible! Thank you!

To the amazing staff who go above and beyond, thank you! No one would have imagined that we’d be teaching whilst wearing facemasks, that we’d be the supplier of RAT tests and work to ensure that air purifiers are cleaning the air in our classrooms. You are a credit to yourselves and our school!

To our Year 6 students, I’d like to take this opportunity to thank you for sharing your last year of primary school with us. You will always have a special connection with St Anthony’s Primary School. Most of you have been a part of St Anthony’s School Community for much longer than I have, you’ve shared many great times, developed strong friendships and have grown together. We are so proud of you all.

Always work hard and never give up and most importantly “Be YOU”!

I would also like to acknowledge and thank Fr. Brian for his support. His faith and friendship are greatly appreciated.

I would also like to take this opportunity to wish you all a safe, Holy and Merry Christmas, and a wonderful New Year!  Thank you for your support during the year.  I am very grateful for everything that I have learned and every new relationship that I have formed. I look forward to seeing and sharing your child's learning journey in 2023!

The school will be closed for the holiday period.
