Senior School News

Senior School Formal

On Friday 17th March the much awaited Senior School Formal was held at Mornington Racecourse.

A beautiful mild evening for what was to be a fantastic night for Year 11 and 12 students.

Students started arriving at 6.30pm for our 7pm commencement. Some arrived in limousines, some were escorted by motorcycles and some enjoyed arriving in vintage cars. After a wonderful meal awards were presented to both year levels including – best suit and best dressed. After the awards it was on to dancing the night away.

As always all students are to be congratulated on the way they conducted themselves throughout the evening.

Thank you to all students and staff who attended.

Outdoor Education

On March 8th, the Year 11 Outdoor and Environmental Studies class travelled to Lake Mountain to undertake their 3 day hike camp. The camp provided the students with plenty of challenges, where great resilience and persistence was required. Students carried hiking packs with all of the equipment they required for the three days, battled against near-negative temperatures and tough conditions whilst preparing and cooking all of their meals. Students met all of these challenges with a smile and enjoyed their time at Lake Mountain.

After successfully hiking and camping on top of a mountain, students have provided some tips and advice for students who will be involved in camps in the future:

Work Experience

Over 150 Year 10 students participated in our work experience program, with many doing placement during the last week of Term 1. Work Experience helps students gain a better understanding of themselves and how they relate to other people, and to test possible career choices to see if they suit. (Try before you buy!)

Work experience is an invaluable introduction to the course selection process for Years 11 and 12, and a vital preparation for students undertaking the VCE Vocational Major in 2024.

Here are just a few of our Year 10 students experiencing the world of work this term.
