From Student to Staff

The College has been around for 45 years this year, and over this time it has changed, expanded and built up a community in which you are all involved in today. A number of our past students, since attending, have gone on to become valued staff members here at the College.

What do you love most about your role/the WCC community?
The ability to work across both campuses and getting to know everyone.
Any final thoughts/reflections on your time at WCC over the years?
What I remember most from my time as a student at WCC are the teachers, as you get older you start to see them as someone there to help you rather than discipline you which helps to have a good relationship to get you through the tough years of school.

Tyndale. One day we’ll come out on top…
How long have you been with the College and what is your role?
I started in 2021 as a Learning Support Assistant in LEAPS for two years and have started my teaching career in Humanities and Outdoor this year.
What do you love most about your role/the WCC community?
How genuine and intentional the school is about fostering faith-centered relationships between the staff and students. It’s something very special that makes our community so close-knit.
Any final thoughts/reflections on your time at WCC over the years?
I’m truly grateful for the Christian education I received at WCC. It’s such a full-circle experience to now give back to the place I essentially grew up in. I feel so blessed and pray that I can make the same impact on the next generation of students.
