Wellbeing

All students attending St Louis de Montfort's Aspendale have the right to feel safe. The care, safety and wellbeing of children and young people is a fundamental responsibility of all within our school.

Gardening for Gratitude

Eight weeks ago, two of our students had an idea to promote community connection and support people in need.  With the help of Frank and Rose, these two hard working gardeners planted some seeds, nurtured the produce, harvested the food and then had a stall out the front of our church where they sold the vegetables and herbs to parishioners after mass. Parishioners decided on an amount they felt was suitable to pay for the produce and the students were able to raise over $100. This week they had another stall and set a goal of raising the total to $200. These amazing students have raised a total of $283 and all funds are donated to St Vinnies. We are grateful to God for his gift of creation and for all the elements that combine to make things possible.

We have  Gratitude ...

...for the hard work the gardeners put in,

...for the loving support given,

...for the rain and sun to help the plants grow,

...for the community connection between students and parishioners,

...for the nutrients the vegetables and herbs will provide,

...for the financial support it will provide those in need, and

...for the smile it put on everyone's face that day.
