Ushering in 2023

Welcome to 2023!

I pray that the Christmas and holiday season gave your family time to appreciate the simple joys in life!  Our family had the opportunity to explore some coastal areas this Summer as our beloved river spots transformed into wetlands that were not accessible.

As devastating as the floods have been, there has been something quiet tranquil about how creation responds during these times.  Interruption can sometimes open up opportunity and possibility for things that we may have never seen.  I look forward to exploring the opportunities and possibilities that this year holds.

Curiosity opened to our families after two days of professional learning and preparations for 2023.  With the introduction of three new team members there has been a great sense of excitement for tapping into new learning and connections amongst children and our families.

We have just closed the doors on Week 1 and what a week it was!  Each day the Lead Educators have met to pray for the day and reflect upon the daily 'noticings' of children's interactions with each other, the educators, the environment and the connections they are making through play.  With many children experiencing 'living & learning' at Curiosity for the first time there is much to celebrate.

Thank you to all our families for such a wonderful start to the year.  We look forward to many 'unseen' things unfold before us as we stay attuned to the children's voices and wondering's this year.

May God bless the Curiosity Community this year!
