The Sports days for Classes

Monday - 1 MC,  1 LC,  4 DC,  4 SF,  5 JR

Tuesday -  5 RO,  5 JT,  6 LG,  6 KT, FHE, FSN

Wednesday - 2 RB, 3 MR, 3 KM, 1 MD

Thursday – 4 RS, FME, 6 TR, 2 FM, 3 AH

 

It is very important that children wear their sports uniform on their dedicated sports day and bring a drink bottle (or two on the hot days).

 

2023 Team Vic State Team Trials

Registrations are now open for any child (12 years and under) who would like to try out for the Victorian State Teams. The School Sport Victoria (SSV) Team Vic representative program provides a development platform for Victorian students to challenge themselves against Australia’s best school aged athletes across numerous sports at the annual School Sport Australia (SSA) Championships. SSV coordinate the selection process for Team Vic teams in partnership with relevant state sporting organisations.

Please see the new Team Vic Principal Endorsement Sheet process for the following teams in 2023:

  • Australian Football 12 Years & Under Boys (Closes on Wednesday 1st March, 2023)
  • Basketball 12 Years & Under Girls/Boys (Closes on Wednesday 1st March, 2023)
  • Cricket 12 Years & Under Boys (Closes on Thursday 2nd February, 2023)
  • Football (Soccer) 12 Years & Under Boys (Closes on Wednesday 1st March, 2023)
  • Netball 12 Years & Under Girls (Closes on Wednesday 1st March, 2023)

Children are reminded that the skills required for these teams must be exceptional.  It is not a ‘Come and Try’ system. Children are required to check with the school principal or sports teacher for endorsement to go to the trials.

Year 5/6 Sports Classes

Over the next two weeks, the Year 5 and 6 classes will learn about the game of Lawn Bowls. A number of children will be selected to represent Sacred Heart at the Colac Primary Schools Lawn Bowls Championships. This will take place on Monday 27th February at the Colac Bowling Club (near the lake).

 

Sacred Heart Swimming Sports Years 4-6

The Sacred Heart Swimming sports will take place on Friday 24th February at Blue Water Fitness Centre. All children from Years 4-6 have the opportunity to participate in this event. More information will be available to parents closer to the event.

 

Years 3/4 Netball Skills

On Tuesday 28th March, all children in Years 3 and 4 will participate in a ‘Netball Skills’ session at the Eastern Reserve with Maddie Oakley. This will involve a number of fun activities for all children with lots of ball games, fitness activities etc. Children will need to wear their sports uniform and bring along their drink bottle, snacks, lunch etc. More information will be supplied closer to the date.anks Nicole Lynch
