ART & SCIENCE

Welcome to another year of Science & Art fun!

I am very much looking forward to being the Art teacher this year and working with students to create all things arty and crafty!

We have some big projects on the agenda this year - many top secret but the big event of the year will be the “St Mary’s Specialist Showcase”, which is scheduled for Thursday December 7th. This will encompass learning and displays from Art, Science & Auslan. More info to follow!

For Science, we are focusing on Biological Science. We will be investigating Living Things, Life Cycles, Adaptations and Survival in different environments. Students will be completing lots of fun and interactive experiments and justifying their experiment results with many discussions with their classmates. Our work in Science will also feature in the Specialist Showcase!

                                      GARDEN

Our school Veggie Garden is looking amazing!

Thanks to Mrs Jamieson, Dean & Taylah for tending to the garden over the school holidays, including weeding and mulching the front garden beds. 

Lots of veggies are growing - students will soon be able to sample the veggies -  delicious!

We will start planting some broccoli, cauli, lettuce, cabbage and herbs soon. Students will have the opportunity to help weed the garden, plant the seeds and transplant the seedlings into the veggie garden. Lots of learning and fun!
