Principal's Report
Dear Parents and Carers,
It was so wonderful to be able to visit family and friends again on the weekend. The beautiful autumn sunshine made it twice as enjoyable. I hope that you managed to enjoy some extra time with loved ones.
We are so excited to have our Prep, Year 1 and 2 students returning to school next week. Remote learning has been a new experience for us all and a great challenge. All of our students have worked in different ways and learnt so many new skills. It will be wonderful to welcome back our junior students on 26 May and our senior students on 9 June.
The Staff and I are still working on our plan for Returning to School. I will email the final details to all parents by the end of this week.
Today it was announced that Mr Jim Miles has been appointed as the new Executive Director of Catholic Education Melbourne (CEM).
“The Executive Director of Catholic Education Melbourne leads a school system larger than some public school systems in Australia, and one of the largest globally.
This Week we are celebrating Family Week. I hope that you and your Family find some special ways to participate in Family Week activities to strengthen relationships and celebrate the importance of family in our lives.
Enrolments for 2021
Places are filling fast for our Prep 2021 classes. I will be commencing enrolment interviews for 2021 next week. If you have a child ready to start Prep in 2021 please ensure that you have your enrolment forms completed and handed in to the Office with their Birth Certificate, Baptism Certificate and Immunisation Certificate.
Please spread the word to your neighbours, family and friends also.

Before and After School Care
Camp Australia will be offering a Full Day program on 25 May. This is a School Closure Day so please make a booking directly with Camp Australia unless you have already notified me.
Please remember that Before and After School Care is still operating at St John's every day. It is free and they would love to be able to support you by providing additional care for your children.

Condolences
We would like to send our condolences to the Baguley family and the Puls family.
Riley Baguley's Grandfather passed away recently, father of Stuart Baguley.
Last week the Grandfather of Aidan and Kieran Puls, father of Andrew Puls, sadly passed away also.
We hope that you feel surrounded by much love and know that their memories will live in your hearts forever.
