JUNIORS

This weekend would have been Round 1 for our  juniors and although we're not out there playing I'm hoping everyone is busy keeping their skills up at home.  We have been uploading some skills videos to keep you inspired. I had a 'Zoom' meeting last Wednesday night with Hockey Victoria to discuss potential scenarios for the Junior Competition for when and if we are able to resume playing.  Many other Melbourne hockey clubs also attended and it was great to hear the thoughts and ideas from different clubs.

In a worse case scenario, HV are looking at possibly having an 8 week junior season with one round for finals where there would be 1 vs 2 to play for the Premiership.  Depending on when we are able to start, this could potentially mean the season ends later than the normal September finish date.

Hopefully we will know more after the Federal government meets with the States this week to discuss the lifting of some of the restrictions. There are lots of unknowns at this stage which makes it very difficult to plan anything but the committee have been discussing possible scenarios for when restrictions are eased.  We will keep you informed in due course of any developments.
