Icy Pole Fridays
Rain, hail or shine – this Friday we will once again be giving the students an opportunity to purchase an icy pole at lunchtime for ONLY $1 – so please remind your children to pack their dollar coin for school this Friday. And a reminder that P&F members, along with parent volunteers are regularly required to assist in the organisation and distribution of icy poles to students. If you have some spare time on Fridays, we would really appreciate your help. You can add your name to the volunteer list by calling ROSE on 0418 306 802, or alternatively you can email her at rosemary4@iprimus.com.au
Thank-you in advance for your assistance!
Hot Food Days
This term the P&F will be running TWO hot food days, details are as follows:
Hot Food Day 1 (Tuesday 2nd March) - pizzas and donuts will be available for purchase. Baker’s Delight Margarita, Hawaiian and Vegetarian Pizza for $4.50 each AND Coles Cinnamon Donuts for 50c each! Treat your children by ordering these goods on QuickCliq ASAP!
*A notice was recently sent home to Foundation families with instructions on how to register your child. Please contact Rose Piotti on 0418 306 802, or alternatively you can email her at rosemary4@iprimus.com.au if you have any questions or concerns.
** Important information from the Principal, Deputy Principal and P&F:
Parents, please note that hot food days are a P&F fundraising activity, and we work hard to ensure that you are given enough time to place an order for your children. We kindly ask that if you miss the cut-off date to place your child’s order that you DO NOT bring in any FAST FOOD. Instead, you could consider placing a ‘special lunch’ in your child’s lunchbox as an alternative. We thank-you for your understanding in this matter.
Hot Cross Bun Drive
Who doesn’t love a hot cross bun loaded with butter…? If this sentence made you salivate, then quickly jump online to QuickCliq so that you do not miss your chance on purchasing some deliciously baked, BAKER’S DELIGHT buns. Please select the 19th March on QuickCliq as the date, for hot cross bun orders. Flavours include: Traditional, Apple & Cinnamon, Choc-Chip, Mocha and Fruitless. Thank-you to Elana Fairbanks from Baker’s Delight Coburg for hosting this fundraising drive! For ONLY $8 for half a dozen buns, you can order these family faves for you and your loved ones. Also - $2 per purchased packet will be donated to St. Fidelis. QuickCliq order date opened on the 20th February. Orders due (no later than) Monday 15th March, for delivery and distribution to the school on Friday 19th March. Thank-you for supporting this fundraising drive.
Colour Explosion School Fun Run
We have some exciting news! For our first major fundraiser for 2021, we are hosting a Colour Explosion School Fun Run! The Colour Explosion School Fun Run will be held on Friday March 26th from 4.30pm onwards at school. Wear a white T-shirt and get covered in colourful powder! Fundraising will commence next week and the best news is everyone who raises $10 or more gets to choose from a selection of awesome prizes! All profits will go straight to our school. Sponsorship booklets will be handed out at the end of this week with more details, so keep your eye out and start getting excited!
Easter Raffle
During the last week of Term 4, the P&F committee will be hosting an Easter Raffle. This raffle is always a fun way to end Term 1 – in previous years it has seen many families win a variety of Easter-themed hampers and prizes. In preparation for this event, we ask that each family assist us by DONATING one Easter themed item, (chocolate, toys, activities, books, wine, etc.) to the school before the 19th March. Donations can be delivered via each student directly to their classroom teacher. Shortly, each family will receive a raffle book, consisting of 20 raffle tickets for sale @$1 per ticket. We encourage you to sell as many tickets as you can to your family and friends. Clearly named tickets and money should be returned to the school office before Thursday 25th March. The EASTER HAMPER DRAW will occur on Monday 29th March. Students and families will be notified of the winning tickets. Good luck to all of you! We thank-you for your cooperation with this fundraising activity.
Second-Hand Uniform Sale
On Thursday 11th February, Sarah, Rose and Dan from our P&F committee ran a second-hand uniform stall that raised an impressive $285! This money goes a long way in supporting all of our students – giving them access to new resources and programs that increase their learning capabilities. So thank-you to all who were involved in the organisation of this stall. Moreover, thank-you to all of the parents who attended and purchased items to raise this money. The P&F will notify you of the next uniform stall in the upcoming newsletters. We would also like to take this opportunity to say a HUGE THANK-YOU to all the families who continue to donate their pre-loved school uniforms, it is much appreciated. However, we would also like to make you aware of the condition that we require the school uniforms to be in, for re-sale:
We simply request that you forward any uniform that you would comfortably allow your own child to wear. In addition to this, if we end up with too many items that we need to dispose of, it adds to unwanted landfill, which is an environmental concern and furthermore becomes a school COST to remove. We thank-you for your understanding on this matter and we look forward to receiving many more of your preloved school uniforms.
Bunnings BBQ
Unfortunately, our planned Bunnings BBQ event did not go ahead due to the COVID-19 restrictions. But fear not! Tara and the P&F team are awaiting confirmation from Bunnings for a new date. Thank-you to those of you who kindly volunteered your time to assist with the BBQ. We greatly appreciate your willingness to assist us in one of our most successful fundraising events. Please keep your eyes and ears open for notification of the new date and sign up assistance.
Once again, THANK-YOU for taking the time to stay updated with the P & F NEWS!
Our next P&F meeting is booked for TUESDAY 9th MARCH @7:30pm in the staff room. You are welcome to join us - please contact Josie (contact details below) if you are attending.
